Maintain Alkalinity

When I purchase products, I'm generally the one that goes for a good deal, albeit I expect quality. Looking at my options for something that would be effective in helping my body maintain alkalinity, I found these. So far they are doing what they claim to be doing for me and on the plus side they are very inexpensive. Gotta love those beans! Reading the reviews, I almost declined as one person mentioned they were horse pills. I've had no problem at all with them. To me they are average size.

After using this, my mouth feels tingly fresh for hours afterwards. No joke. I am hooked! You can add baking soda to this mix but I chose not to. As with any toothpaste, rinse and spit, do not swallow.

1 cup coconut oil
20 drops peppermint essential oil
15 drops cinnamon essential oil
15 drops spearmint essential oil
15 drops clove essential oil
15 drops myrrh essential oil

Reusable Kitchen Wipes

Take an old t-shirt and cut it up into rag sized cloths.
Pour 1 cup warm water, 1 ounce liquid castile soap, and 5 – 10 drops of your favorite essential oil into a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
Place the rags into the jar and turn upside down a few times until all the rags are soaked.
After being used, the cloths can be washed and returned to the jar to be used over and over again.

Honey Ginger Coughdrops

Make ginger tea and let it steep.
Strain the tea to get 1 cup liquid.
Add an equal proportion of sugar, 1 cup white sugar. Add a tablespoon of honey. (Note: using honey will increase the boiling time for the sugar solution.)
Using one cup of solution will end up with about a cup of drops.

Set the ginger-sugar solution to boil. Use an extra large saucepan. Once the sugar solution approaches the right temperature, it can froth up to twice the height.
Once it boils, do NOT stir or do anything to drop sugar crystals back into the solution. Use a clean thermometer and spoons. Its very hot and sticky so be careful with it.
Let the temperature reach hard crack stage, or about ~300

For molding make your own powdered sugar mold. Pour a mix of powdered sugar and/or cornstarch into a long pan, and make holes with any small round object.
Pour the drops into the molds. They cool fairly quickly. Once dried drop into a strainer to sift off the extra sugar. Store drops in a jar.
